Today, me and my girlfriend craves for the famous native sour soup Filipino dish, “Sinigang na Baboy”. Ako assigned sa pamamalengke at sya naman sa pagluluto.
I went to our talipapa, (a small side-walk or street market) in our place to buy the ingredients.
•1/4 chopped pork laman for P40.00
•1 bundle of kangkong for P5.00
•5 pcs of kamatis (tomatoes) for P5.00
•4 pcs of sibuyas (onions) for P5.00
•4 pcs of green chili for P5.00
•Knorr Sinigang mix pampaasim for P12.00
•1 liter of water
Cooking Procedures:
1. Heat the pot and pour a liter of water
2. Put the pork into the pot and let it boil for 10 to 15 mins until it soften the meat. (Gusto namin ni gf malambot yung meat.)
3. Put in the cut onions while it boils
4. Pour in the Sinigang mix and slightly stir
5. Add the other ingredients together and let it boil in 5-8 minutes
6. Turn off the heat and cover the pot
7. Serve hot and enjoy eating
For P72.00 we are able to cook and eat a yummy ulam (dish) for lunch. Mapaparami na naman kain ko nito! 🙂
Notes:
•the serving is good for 3 to 4 persons
•ingredients are not limited to what we used
•buying the ingredients in a public market is a lot cheaper
